Edinburgh extend perfect URC start by overpowering Zebre with four-try win

Edinburgh moved to the top of the United Rugby Championship after beating Zebre for a bonus point and making it three wins from three matches. James Grayson opened the scoring with an early penalty, but Zebre went ahead when scrum-half Alessandro Fusco scored after Edinburgh winger Malelili Satala was sent to the sin bin for a deliberate knock-on.

Edinburgh regained the lead after half an hour as centre Matt Currie broke through two defenders to score. Fusco was later yellow-carded, and flanker Freddy Douglas added a try from the ensuing maul before halftime.

Edinburgh continued to control possession and territory after the break. Magnus Bradbury scored their third try under the posts, while Zebre reduced the gap through Giacomo Ferrari after Edinburgh replacement hooker Harri Morris was sin-binned. Edinburgh secured the bonus point in the final minute when another powerful maul created the opening for replacement Tom Currie to score.
