Swansea moved to the top of the Championship by beating Norwich 2-1 after falling behind. Jacob Wright put Norwich ahead shortly before the half-hour mark, but Moussa Yeo and Adam Idah scored after the interval to complete Swansea’s third comeback win of the season. The result followed West Ham’s draw the previous night and gave Swansea first place. Idah limped off and may be a doubt for Tuesday’s trip to Millwall.
Swansea manager Vítor Matos said the international break had disrupted preparations, with players returning late and training together only briefly. Norwich suffered a fourth consecutive defeat in all competitions and have conceded 19 goals in nine league matches.
Middlesbrough moved into second by beating Wolves 1-0 in their 150th-anniversary match at a sold-out Riverside Stadium. Will Lankshear headed in Tommy Conway’s cross after half-time, lifting Middlesbrough above West Ham. Burnley also climbed from the bottom after beating Watford, scoring four times as three first-half goals put them in control. The result was Burnley’s first away win in 241 days and increased pressure on Watford manager Alessio Dionisi.
Elsewhere, Birmingham beat West Brom, while Patrick Bamford scored twice in Sheffield United’s 3-0 win over Lincoln. Peterborough began Robbie Savage’s managerial tenure with a 3-1 victory at Leicester, and Wrexham drew 1-1 at Derby after Ollie Rathbone scored two minutes from time. Millwall won 1-0 at Preston through Camiel Neghli’s 79th-minute goal.
