Arsenal came from behind to beat Leeds United 2-1 at the Emirates Stadium after the visitors produced the better chances in a strong first half. Arsenal controlled possession, but Noah Okafor, Ethan Ampadu and others tested David Raya while Leeds defended with discipline.
James Justin put Leeds ahead in the 55th minute with a composed finish. Arsenal equalised seven minutes later when Riccardo Calafiori headed in after Noni Madueke’s cross was returned into the area by Ben White.
Arsenal completed the turnaround in the 72nd minute through Bruno Guimaraes, who started and finished a flowing move involving Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard and Declan Rice before driving a low shot into the corner. Leeds pressed for an equaliser late on, but Arsenal held firm, with Raya dealing with a looping header and Gabriel clearing a dangerous cross. Saka had one final chance in stoppage time but shot wide after being played through by Viktor Gyokeres.
