Oscar Bobb scored 10 minutes from time as Fulham earned a 1-0 Premier League victory at Coventry City on Saturday, October 24, 2026. The result gave Álvaro Arbeloa’s side successive league wins after the previous weekend’s 1-0 victory over Hull City and moved Fulham out of the relegation zone and into 12th place after eight matches. Coventry remained 19th.
Fulham had the clearest opening of a cautious first half when Josh King found space inside the area in the 17th minute, but his powerful effort struck the top of the post. Alex Iwobi sent the rebound over the crossbar. Coventry created openings through Jack Rudoni’s delivery and Brandon Thomas-Asante’s movement, while Bobby Thomas headed wide and Bernd Leno collected a weak effort from Thomas-Asante.
The match also featured two penalty reviews. Fulham appealed when Calvin Bassey went down after a contest with Thomas-Asante before halftime, but the decision was not changed after a video review. Coventry later appealed for handball when a Rudoni free-kick struck Iwobi’s arm, but the midfielder’s arms were close to his body. A late appeal involving Shea Charles was also rejected after the ball hit his tucked arm.
Bobb finally broke the deadlock in the 80th minute with a solo run into the penalty area and a curling shot into the far corner. Coventry tried to respond, but Matt Grimes saw a powerful effort blocked and the hosts could not find an equaliser.
The victory ended Fulham’s run of eight away matches without a win, dating back to February, and eased pressure on Arbeloa after the club began the league campaign with six matches without a victory. Arbeloa said his team managed the game better and competed for the full 90 minutes, while Bobb described the result as a possible turning point. Frank Lampard said Coventry lacked attacking sharpness and had lost to one decisive moment of quality. Fulham’s next league fixtures include Aston Villa, Newcastle United and Manchester City, while Coventry must respond from second-bottom after failing to build on its previous 4-1 home win over Newcastle.
