Hilary Swank reveals December arrival for third child after welcoming twins at 48

Hilary Swank is expecting her third child with husband Philip Schneider, announcing the pregnancy Wednesday at age 52 in a playful family video. Swank, Schneider and their 3-year-old twins, Aya and Ohm, danced in the dark with glow sticks attached to their bodies before the outline of a baby appeared on Swank’s stomach.

“A lot of people have been asking what project I’m doing next, this one releases in December, ” Swank wrote alongside the video, indicating that the baby is expected that month. She has not disclosed the baby’s sex.

The pregnancy comes three years after Swank and Schneider welcomed their twins in April 2023. Swank announced that pregnancy in October 2022, saying she was preparing to become a mother of two, and later described the birth as difficult but deeply rewarding.

Swank and Schneider married in 2018. She has spoken about becoming a parent later in life, saying her established acting career gave her the flexibility to devote sustained attention to motherhood. Medical specialists classify pregnancy at 35 and older as advanced maternal age; risks generally rise with age and can include gestational diabetes, preeclampsia, miscarriage and preterm birth, often prompting additional monitoring during pregnancy.
