Shares of Nvidia and Advanced Micro Devices fell for a fourth consecutive day Monday as investors looked past the companies’ latest announcements involving open-source artificial intelligence.
AMD introduced a blueprint for its upcoming Helion chip rack at the Open Compute Project’s annual global summit. The project focuses on sharing open-source designs and specifications intended to help establish industrywide standards for companies developing products for the artificial-intelligence ecosystem.
The market decline came despite the companies using the summit to highlight new AI infrastructure plans. The response indicated that the announcements did not restore investor enthusiasm during Monday’s trading session.
