Northrop Grumman is scheduled to release its third-quarter 2026 results before the market opens on Oct. 20, followed by an earnings call at 9: 30 a. The update will show whether the aerospace and defense company is sustaining the momentum behind its latest outlook increase.
It kept adjusted free-cash-flow guidance at $3. 1 billion-$3. 5 billion and segment operating-income guidance at $4. 85 billion-$5 billion.
The second-quarter results also highlighted uneven performance across the portfolio. Defense Systems sales grew 5% but operating income dropped 38% after unfavorable contract adjustments and continued investment in missile programs; Space Systems sales rose 4%, while operating income declined 16% after a $91 million unfavorable adjustment on the GEM 63XL program.
Management has said the second half is expected to bring higher revenue across the segments. The company projected 2026 sales of about $14 billion for Aeronautics Systems, mid-to-high $8 billion for Defense Systems, more than $12 billion for Mission Systems and about $11 billion for Space Systems. The third-quarter release and call will provide the next confirmed read on those targets, program costs and the conversion of the record backlog into revenue and cash flow.
