The fourth episode of series two saw the Traitors murder actor Bella Ramsey, while the Faithfuls banished Julie Hesmondhalgh at the roundtable. Ramsey had been identified as a major threat by Maya Jama and James Acaster, who were joined by their newest recruit, Hannah Fry. The group had also considered James Blunt and Sebastian Croft as possible targets.
Fry tried to avoid suspicion by presenting herself as vulnerable and defending her reputation as an obvious target. Miranda Hart challenged her over contradictions involving the previous night’s shield discussion, while Blunt continued to accuse Hesmondhalgh of seeming too trustworthy. The group ultimately turned against Hesmondhalgh, who confirmed in her final remarks that she was Faithful.
The episode’s charity mission took the contestants to a haunted cabin beside a graveside, where they confronted unresolved matters involving the dead. The challenge included a masked figure, a chant led by Michael Sheen and Croft entering a filthy toilet, while Romesh Ranganathan screamed during the task. Croft earned a protective shield.
The episode ended with Kemp, Ranganathan, Rob Beckett and Leigh-Anne Pinnock selected for a nighttime game of hide-and-seek. The Traitors stayed out of the game, which includes a face-to-face killing; Pinnock alone is immune from murder, though the Traitors do not know that.
