Netflix announced that its YA drama "Crew Girl" will return for a second season after strong global viewership.
Netflix announced on Wednesday that its young‑adult drama series "Crew Girl" is renewed for a second season. The show premiered on September 10 and quickly rose to number two on the Netflix English TV Top 10, remaining in the Top 10 in more than 90 countries and accumulating over 16 million views.

The eight‑episode inaugural season follows 16‑year‑old Teagan Tao, who moves back to her mother’s hometown after her father’s financial fraud, joins the all‑boys crew team at Easton Academy as coxswain, and navigates relationships with teammates Josh and Cam while her rival Britney plans to start a girls crew team.
The series is executive produced by Vivian Lin, Jeff Norton, Lindsay Macadam, Hillary Zwick Turner, Tony Chung, Lori Massini, Matthew Hornburg, Mark J.W. Bishop and Jennifer McCarron for Blue Ant Studios. No further details about the second season’s release date or storyline have been disclosed, and reporting beyond this announcement is limited.
