College Sports Betting Series ‘Knockouts’ in the Works at Paramount TV Studios, Skydance Sports (EXCLUSIVE)

Paramount Television Studios and Skydance Sports are developing the spec script "Knockouts," about sorority members running an illegal college sports betting ring.

Paramount Television Studios and Skydance Sports have acquired the spec script “Knockouts,” written by Clara Nevins and Harper Oreck. The logline describes a story set in the SEC sports world and Southern sorority life, where four girls in a low‑ranking sorority use insider knowledge to operate an illegal sports‑betting ring from their basement.

Nevins and Oreck are slated to serve as executive producers and also star in the series. Marty Bowen, Wyck Godfrey and James Seidman will executive produce through Temple Hill, with Paramount TV Studios and Skydance Sports listed as co‑producers.

Both writers graduated from Harvard in 2023, met there, and previously collaborated on the short film “Tank Top.” Nevins previously worked as an assistant at Counterpart Studios, while Oreck recently earned a master’s degree in gender studies from the University of Cambridge. They are represented by UTA and Kaplan Perrone; Temple Hill is also represented by UTA.

The report provides no information on a production schedule, additional casting, or distribution plans, and further details remain unconfirmed.
