Binance launches 24/7 FX perps with weekend pricing system

Binance launched 24/7 US dollar‑Brazilian real perpetual futures with a dual‑mode pricing system and up to 100× leverage.

Binance introduced 24/7 perpetual futures for foreign exchange, starting with a US dollar‑Brazilian real (USDBRLUSDT) contract that went live on Sept. 21, settles in USDT and offers up to 100× leverage, according to a Friday announcement. The contracts use a dual‑mode pricing system: during regular FX trading hours prices track a weighted index from third‑party data providers, while weekends and public holidays rely on an order‑book‑based mechanism that applies an exponentially weighted moving average of order‑book prices rather than external feeds. Binance trading head Shunyet Jan said the contracts aim to extend price discovery beyond traditional FX hours and give traders a venue to hedge or take positions around the clock. The launch follows Bybit’s introduction of 24/7 FX perpetuals two weeks earlier and Kraken’s earlier rollout of FX perpetuals in April 2025. The article notes that global OTC FX turnover averaged $9.6 trillion a day in April 2025, but provides no further details on additional contract pairs or future expansion, leaving those aspects unconfirmed.
